1. What are your shipping rates?

If you choose to pay via EFT, please be sure to send Proof of Payment to if you want your goods to be dispatched as quickly as possible. If you do not provide POP, your goods will only be dispatched when the funds clear in our account.

  • Please note, on occasion our system may incorrectly quote you if your postal code is not recognised. Please be aware that you will be charged R115 if you are requesting delivery to an outlying area and we will unfortunately not be able to honour the incorrectly quoted shipping rate, You will be notified should there be any discrepancies. 
  • Our shipping times are calculated from the time the order and payment have been processed – not from the time of ordering.
  • Shipping times and dates cannot be guaranteed and are to be used as a guide only. Please contact us should you have any special delivery requirements and we’ll do our best to assist.

2. What is your Refund & Return Policy?


Unfortunately, due to the nature of our service, we do not provide refunds and are unable to accept product returns.


If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase of accessories or styling tools, we’re here to help.


You have 7 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.

The item must be in the original packaging.

The item needs to have the receipt or proof of purchase.

There are no warrantees on goods we sell.



If you are eligible for a refund, once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. We will immediately notify you on the status of your refund after inspecting the item.

If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card (or original method of payment).

You will receive the credit within a certain amount of days, depending on your card issuer’s policies.



You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-­refundable.

3. Can I collect?

Yes, if you are based in Cape Town.
  • Please place your order on our online store, complete the payment, and select the “Local pickup” option at checkout.
  • Once your payment has cleared, you will be notified via email when your order is ready for collection.
  • Collections are in Sea Point, Cape Town. Please note, collection times may be limited. No collections on weekends.
  • Send a WhatsApp to 082 803 0133 to arrange a time for collection.

4. How do I pay?

You will be offered a choice of 3 payment options at checkout:

  • EFT (Proof of payment essential)
  • Snapscan
  • Debit/Credit Card via Payfast
PLEASE NOTE: Should you choose to pay via EFT, your order must be paid within 24 hours and Proof of Payment must be provided,  or your order will be cancelled and the stock will be released back into our inventory.
*** If no POP is provided, we cannot guarantee your order as funds may not reflect in our account within the 24 hours.

5. What does it mean if an item is “available on back order”?

This means that the product is currently not in stock, however we are able to order it in for you.

Should you select this option, kindly expect a delayed delivery time while we wait for your stock to arrive from our suppliers.

We will keep you informed about when you can expect delivery. If the expected delivery date does not suit you, you may cancel and request a full refund for that item.

6. Which is the best box for me?

If you’re completely new to the Curly Girl Method, we recommend The Starter.

We’ve taken the guesswork out completely by providing a step-by-step system with products curated for your hair type. The complete box costs R475 and includes 6 trial sized products (50ml each), 4x crocodile styling clips, shower cap, product instructions and a step-by-step guide.

If you’ve already started the method and want to explore different products to find which works best for you, we recommend you build-your-own with The Explorer, where you can choose different products to try. The box costs from R265-R650 depending on the products you select, and includes a minimum of 5 trial sized products.
